  I booked a one day trip from Marrakech to Ouzoud Falls with Morocco Colourful Tours. Yes, a private tour is definitely more expensive than a large group tour or using public transportation, but after a hectic prior few days of long and multiple bus rides, it was wonderful to have an easy day where I didn’t have to worry about anything. My tour guide Amar and my driver Mahjoub, came to the door of my riad in the medina to pick me up, a big help as I had arrived the night before and may have struggled to find my way out to where they are able to park. They picked up some water for me before we hit the road in a very clean, comfortable and safe car. During the drive Amar was friendly and provided information about the destination, as well as general information about the area and Morocco/Berber life, but also seemed to understand that I wasn’t that chatty and left me in peace. He provided wifi for me in the car, which was appreciated. Climbing the many, many stairs up was a bit of a challenge for me so Amar offered to carry my backpack and was very understanding whenever I said I needed to rest, another reason I was glad to be on a private tour so I didn’t have to keep up with the group.

After making it back up, we had lunch at one of the restaurants where I had BBQ chicken skewers and some of the best fries I’ve had in ages!

I felt the money spent with Morocco Colourful Tours was worth it and would recommend them to anyone who wants a more personal experience where all the details are taken care of by friendly, professional staff More

MCTs is running by a small Berber family, by three brothers, Hamed, Moha-med and Omar. Hamed was our friendly driver, and Moh-med was our knowledge tour guide, his English was very good, he explained us about the Berber culture and provided us with lot of interesting information about Morocco. We also met Omar in the desert, so nice and helpful person. The car they provided was air-con and clean, the hotel was excellent, camp was excellent, food was excellent, camel ride was amazing... We had... read more Amar ( who was responsive to our emails from the first contact ) as our guide, he help to make our holiday in Morocco one of the best I have ever experienced. He is so nice and friendly person, who makes you feel like family. And we had Hamid, his brother, as our driver, he is a very skilled driver, we felt very safe during the whole trip. We also visited their family in the desert, we drank a cup of Moroccan green tea, and Amar explained us about their rich culture.

All the hotels provided were fantastic, the food was delicious and tasty. Our camp in the desert was luxurious, with toilets and baths, hot water, delicious food and many more... We really didn't expect to find such things in the middle of the Sahara.

Our tour ended in Marrakech, and the sad part of it was when they dropped us in the airport for departure, if only we could spend more time with them...

All the acommodations provided by the company were great, specially the night we spent in the sahara desert, sleeping in haimas in the middle of the desert, and listening live bereber music played by them.

The tour guide was average, didnt seem like he had the experience of other tour guides we've been with. The hotel that was booked for us in boulmane dades didnt have a view. I did hours of research before booking this tour and it didnt live upto it. It was a birthday trip and there was no acknowledgement of it, small gestures go a long way. The desert camp was nice. The time we had on top of the dune for sunset was not even five minutes. We were the last to arrive, should have been timed better. As someone who reads these reviews before booking tours, it should be honest. When you're paying upwards of 1100 CAD, you expect better. I've been on 3 other desert tours (India, Namibia and Dubai) the others were much better and priced alot better.
