8 days from MARRAKECH
Day 1: ARRIVAL TO Marrakech TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL:
Upon arrival, our driver/guide will pick you up from the airport, to your hotel. And here where our wonderful journey will begin; for today you will have a day free to relax, walk at the magnificent Place of Jamaa El Fna, where fortune tellers, snake charmers, musicians, will compete for your attention.
Overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Marrakech – Atlas Mountain – Skoura – Roses valley – Dades Gorge:
Our wonderful journey starts from your accommodation in Marrakech, for a tour around some of Morocco’s special destinations, and the first one for today will be the Kasbah of Ait Ban Haddou, on the way you are going to experience the beauty of Atlas Mountains via the road of Tizi-n-Tichka, the highest road in Morocco with an altitude of 2260m, offering you charming views as far as the eye can see , valleys, oasis, mountains, and Berber villages. We will have stops along the way, so you can get the chance to take some great pictures, and to admire the beauty of this area dotted with tiny berberic villages.
Arriving to a world Heritage site the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, this place belongs to one of the most important families between the 16th and 17 th century in Morocco, “the Glaoui’s family” ; and a place that attracted many film makers, that took a part in their movies such as ” Jesus of Nazareth “. A lunch is planned for you to enjoy it in this historical area. After a quiet stay, we will resume our tour in Ouarzazate, to explore one of the historical Kasbahs in the area, the Kasbah of Taourirt ; Next we will visit the city of roses, and its valley, a carpet of roses as far as the eye can see.
Eventually, arriving to Boumalene Dades, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner, and spend the night at a Riad/hotel.
Day 3: BOUMALNE DADES – Tinghir – Todra Gorge:
After a traditional breakfast, we are going to begin our tour in the surrounding areas of Dades gorges. Then we will head over to a special destination today, passing by Tinghir, to visit Todra gorges the highest narrowest spectacular gorges in Morocco, a unique place, recognized around the world as one of the most spectacular Canyons in the world.
Todra gorge are spectacular as the canyon narrows to a flat stony track as little as 10m wide in places with sheer and smooth rock walls up to 160m high on each side. It’s an easy walk through the rosy red gorge. With such spectacular scenery, ever changing colors of the rock face, and the hubbub of locals passing through herding camels or selling their wares, it’s the perfect place to stop a while. Late this afternoon we visit the village co-operative where hundreds of hand made Berber rugs and, carpets are displayed and offered for sale. Overnight in Todra Gorge.
Day 4: Todra Gorge – Erg Chebbi sand dunes – Camel trek into the Sahara:
After breakfast in front of the beauty of todra, from it and Crossing Jebel Saghro, travelling down to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, when arrived at Merzouga you will be welcomed by camels that will take you through the magnificent world of the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi. In a memorable experience on the top of the camels you will admire the spectacular sunset in the Middle of the Sahara.
Eventually, the camels will take you to our traditional well-equipped camp, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner, while listening to a berber music show, in a friendly mood under the stars.
Overnight in a nomadic camp.
Day 5: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ANIF – NKOUB – AIT SAOUEN PASS – OUARZAZATE :
After a calm relaxing night, it is recommended to wake up early so you cannot miss as spectacular sunrise in the desert. Take a shower and enjoy a traditional breakfast, then return by camels to the village of Merzouga. Then we head to Rissani, an old imperial city, where you will visit the largest and the traditionalist market (Souk) in the Southern Morocco. then to Anif. We continue towards the gate of the desert, the city of Ouarzazate, via Tazarine and, the beautiful town of Nkob, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch among local people. Before continuing, on the way we will pass by the magnificent Draa Valley.
Eventually, when arrivin to Ouarzazate, where you will enjoy dinner, and spend the night at a Riad.
Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech :
After a traditional breakfast, we are going to explore Ouarzazate the city that attracted with its unique landscapes many producers to give it a part in the film, with its biggest film studios in Morocco.
Next you are going to head out to explore the famous Kasbah of Ait-Ben-Hadou, a world Heritage site, which was a part of many universal films such as “Gladiator” .
Afterwards, you are going to experience the beauty of Atlas Mountains via the road of Tizi-n-Tichka the highest road in Morocco with an altitude of 2260m, offering you charming views as far as the eye can admire, valleys, oasis, mountains, and Berber villages.
Eventually, arriving to the red city Marrakech.
Day 7: FULL DAY TO VISIT MARRAKECH:
This morning after breakfast, we are going to enjoy a guided tour of old Marrakech. Set within the rose-colored walls of the Medina and a tangle of winding streets lead to bustling souks, Towering over all this is the Koutoubia mosque, the tallest building in the city and a reminder of the importance of Islam to the lives of the city’s residents. Spend around midday doing other activities include, a Calèche ride (horse drawn carriage) to the peaceful Majorelle Gardens and, a small Museum of Islamic Art. A final treat may simply be to try a Hammam ( public bath), a traditional Moroccan steam bath – a nice reward for our busy Moroccan experience. Overnight in Marrakech .
Day 8: Marrakech TRANSFER TO THE Airport:
After breakfast in the Riad, we will pick you up from your riad in Marrakech, and drive you to the international airport, based on your flight schedule, where unfortunately our unforgettable journey is going to end.
